Kingfisher

Hey! It’s me, your resident bird-nerd that has stumbled across this treasury of vintage kingfisher illustrations! One of the highlights of my travels around Australia was seeing a tiny Azure Kingfisher in the wild, around a billabong in Kakadu. Luckily, you don’t have to travel to Australia to see these jewel-colored birds, as various varieties are found on all continents in more temperate zones. They’re on the smaller side of the bird family, but all have that signature pointy beak and streamlined shape which helps them dive and catch their prey.

All of these bird lithograph images have been sourced from old natural history or birdwatching books in the public domain, which means they’re copyright free! And, they’re free for you to download and use however you like. So, enjoy!
